How to make Organic Pesticide at home very easily.

Here we will discuss how to make Organic Pesticide at home very easily.

When you are doing any type of farming or gardening you may have encountered with the pests on the plants. The plants suffer from many types of insects and pests which will drastically harm the crop. For the treatment of this there are lots of chemical fertilizers available in the market but, they are not nature friendly and cause environmental contamination.  Chemical fertilizers also have hazardous effects on human health. Their excessive use may cause cancer and many other diseases. So for this  here we will know how to make Organic Pesticide at home very easily.

Here is that Organic Pesticide

 Neem oil !

The spray of neem oil works effectively only when it is fully pure. But these days, many fake products are being sold in the market which proves to be ineffective. The second problem is related to pure neem oil which is very costlier. One liter of neem oil may cost about INR 1000.00. And perhaps due to this reason only, the fake neem oil is sold at higher rates.

It is better to make natural pesticides which are as effective as neem oil. That can be prepared at your home easily. The expenditure in preparing this is also negligible.

So, let's start making the organic pesticide
:-

The first thing to take is the leaves. You will need about 250 to 300 gram of Neem leaves. You are well familiar with the medicinal properties of Neem. Neem oil or neem-extaract is a very powerful antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal agent. It is as useful for plants as it is for human beings. Either in villages or in cities, Neem trees are easily available. So, you have to obtain such neem-leaves  from those trees in the said amount. The amount may vary a bit, it won't cause any problem.

Make small clippings of these neem-leaves. You can make use of scissors or any other sharp tools. Now keep all the clippings of neem-leaves into a big size  pan like pot which has a capacity of three liters or more. These leaves have to be boiled in water to obtain the extract.

So, pour three liters of water into the pot. After that, put the pot on a slow flame. The neem-leaves are to be boiled till the water into the pot is reduced to either half or little more than that. As the process of boiling ends, let the solution cool down and filter out the remaining liquid into some other pot. This liquid extract of neem is an important part of that natural pesticide which we are going to prepare. Store this extract in a clean bottle. It can be used for coming three to four months if it is kept away from direct sunlight.

The next ingredient that you've to take is a big size bulb of Garlic. The garlic is also very useful for human health. It  mainly contains allicin, an important compound of sulfur and after crushing it generates many more compounds of sulfur. These compounds are equipped with anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties. Besides this, garlic also contains 20 important minerals which are required by plants as well as human beings.    So, these garlic buds should be crushed by some means to make a good paste out of it. After making the paste, add a little water into it and mix well. Now filter out its liquid extract. After this, in this liquid extract  of Garlic, add about 50 ml of liquid neem extract that you have prepared and stored in the bottle.

So, the garlic-extract and neem-extract both, besides fulfilling the need of micro nutrients of the plants, are capable of fighting all kinds of bacterial, viral, fungal and pest attacks. Homemade liquid fertilizer is very effective and nature friendly.

The liquid mixture after diluting, can be sprayed directly over the plants, but that may not be much effective.

How to make it more effective:-  First of all, take some water in the spray bottle. Now, add into this water about 50 ml of any refined vegetable oil. After this, you've to take mild liquid soap. You can use the  soap  of liquid hand wash also. Add this in about 2 to 3 ml quantity in the spray bottle. Now shake the spray bottle. By doing this, molecules of oil are dispersed and distributed evenly into the water.

In the next step the mixture of garlic and neem extract  should also be added into the spray bottle and shake it once again. Now fill the remaining part of the spray bottle upto 3/4 th part with water. This way, a viscous and very effective spray is ready.

Spray it twice a week over the plants so that the plants remain safe from disease and pest attacks. This solution can be sprayed over all kinds of plants without hesitation.

Tip:- Don't spray it in direct sunlight. Spray it after sunset or when there is no chance of rain. This is highly safe and natural too.

Why we add vegetable oil and soap:-  The reason behind this is that oil is used to make solution viscous so that neem and garlic extract, after spraying over the plants, remains stuck for a longer period. Soap is used to make oil evenly distributed into the water as  oil is insoluble in water.

So this is all about making the organic fertilizers and pesticide at   home in a very cost effective way. This Neem oil is very very effective and environmentally friendly too.
